Bristol City release three

Bristol City have announced that three players will leave the club this summer.

Mark Sykes, Sam Morsy and Harry Cornick will depart Ashton Gate upon the expiry of their contracts later this month.

Sykes played over 150 times across four seasons, Cornick played 68 times after joining in January 2023 and Morsy played 20 games after joining on a short-term deal in January.

Is Fernandes worth a 'Premier League premium' price?

Not many players get a big move after being relegated twice in their first two Premier League seasons.

But Mateus Fernandes is still sought after...

Duff joins Brentford's coaching staff

Brentford have appointed Damien Duff as first team assistant coach.

The 47-year-old - who managed Shelbourne between November 2021 and June 2025 - will begin work later this month.

As a player, Duff won two Premier League titles with Chelsea and 100 Republic of Ireland caps.

Ive known Damien for a long time, said Bees head coach Keith Andrews.

Ive seen him up close throughout his coaching journey. Weve been on courses together and worked together as coaches with the Republic of Ireland national team.

Damien will bring experience, presence and a real level of detail to our coaching department. He will add to the great group we already have and Im very pleased that he is joining us.

Should Spurs cash-in on Romero this summer?

Speaking on the Transfer Talk podcast, The Athletic's Dan Kilpatrick and ESPN's Sam Tighe discuss whether Spurs should cash-in on captain Cristian Romero this summer given his disappointing performances last season.

Trippier could cancel Wolves move after Edwards sacking

Latest from Your Site News' Keith Downie:

Kieran Trippier is considering ripping up his contract with Wolves following the sacking of Rob Edwards on Thursday.

The 35-year-old is angry and feels betrayed by Wolves. Edwards being in charge was key to his decision to join the club last week.

Trippier was shocked to learn the news on Thursday morning, from someone outside the club, just two days after he was paraded as Wolves marquee summer signing.

Your Site News also understands that Edwards himself found out the news from a family member, and not the club.

Trippier cancelled a holiday to undergo a medical and sign for Wolves this week.

Edwards was desperate to sign the defender and Raul Jimenez. Trippier chose Wolves over a number of other clubs.

The defender has essentially signed a pre-contract so joins Wolves on July 1, when his contract at Newcastle ends.

As a result of Edwards' sacking, hes currently considering his options.

Bernardo Silva nearing Real Madrid move

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Bernardo Silva is close to finalising a deal to sign for Real Madrid.

Everything is on course for him to move to the Bernabeu after leaving Manchester City and he is likely to become Jose Mourinhos first signing of his second stint as Real Madrid boss.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have also made offers to Bernardo Silva.

Orient's Ballard wanted by Swansea and Bristol City

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Swansea and Bristol City are among the Championship clubs keen on striker Dom Ballard from Leyton Orient.

The 21-year-old scored 23 goals in League One last season for Orient.

Werder Bremen have also watched him this season and are considering luring him to Germany.

Ballard is an England U20 international who came through at Southampton.
