Michael van Gerwen wins second Nordic Darts Masters title in Copenhagen with victory over Luke Humphries

Michael van Gerwen bulldozed his way to his second Mr Vegas Nordic Darts Masters title in Copenhagen, defeating Luke Humphries 8-7 in the final on Saturday.

The Dutch darting icon produced a string of efficient displays at the Forum Copenhagen to claim his second World Series of Darts title in 2026, becoming the first player to win the Nordic Darts Masters twice since its inception in 2021.

The tournament kicked off on Friday, with Stephen Bunting suffering a shock loss to Viktor Tingstrom but Littler, Wade, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Jonny Clayton, Luke Humphries, and Gian van Veen all made it through to Saturday's action.

The 2026 World Cup of Darts will be held at Frankfurt's Eissporthalle from June 11-14, as 40 nations compete for the coveted title in the unique pairs event.

The top four ranked nations - based on the lowest cumulative PDC ranking of the two competing players - are seeded and will enter at the last 16 stage.

This includes top seeds England, four-time winners Netherlands, reigning champions Northern Ireland and two-time champions Scotland.

The remaining 36 nations have been split into 12 groups of three for the round-robin phase - including 12 seeded nations - from which each group winner will advance.
